Atelier Andicrose:
The Art of Crafting Bicycles
At Andicrose Wooden Bikes, each bicycle is a masterpiece that showcases the craftsmanship of our woodworking masters. Here, we unveil the details behind our manufacturing process, where tradition meets innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality drives every creation.
Selection and Storage: The Beginning of Perfection
The journey of every Andicrose bicycle begins with the meticulous selection of wood. We use Jatobá, also known as Brazilian Cherry, chosen for its strength and natural beauty. These woods are stored in a controlled environment, where humidity is carefully monitored. This attention to detail is essential to preserving the wood’s structural and aesthetic properties, preventing warping and ensuring long-lasting durability.
Each Andicrose bicycle embodies over 30 years of history, as that is the time it took for the tree to grow and mature before being transformed into a two-wheeled work of art
Precision in Crafting the Triangles
The creation of the wooden triangles, which form the heart of our bicycle frames, is a process that demands both precision and expertise. Each piece is meticulously cut and finished before being glued and machined, ensuring a perfect fit. At this stage, the grain pattern of the wood begins to reveal itself, offering a glimpse of the unique beauty the frame will ultimately reveal.
A Testament to Dedication
Each Andicrose bicycle undergoes a week of machining, followed by three weeks of meticulous handcrafting. During this time, our artisans fine-tune every detail; each joint is tested and adjusted until perfection is achieved, ensuring the bike is flawless. This human touch is what makes every Andicrose bicycle truly one of a kind.
