Goat Leather Seadle

While synthetic leathers may seem like an affordable option, they are derived from petroleum-based polymers, which not only have limited durability but also carry a significant environmental impact during production and disposal. Vegetable-tanned goat leather, on the other hand, offers a superior combination of durability, comfort, and sustainability. It ages gracefully, developing a unique patina that tells the story of its journey—something no synthetic leather can replicate.

PRESERVING PURITY

Metal-Free Dyeing

The dyeing process for the goat leather used in Andicrose saddles is carried out without heavy metals, which are highly polluting and harmful to the environment. Instead, we use more sustainable methods and pigments that ensure a rich, long-lasting color without compromising the planet's health.

A SUSTAINABLE CHOICE

Vegetable-Tanned Leather

We choose vegetable-tanned goat leather as an eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based synthetic leathers. The vegetable tanning process uses natural tannins extracted from plants, eliminating the need for harsh chemicals commonly used in traditional tanning. This method not only reduces environmental impact but also results in leather that is as durable as it is flexible—ideal for ensuring comfort and longevity in our saddles.

Tannins are extracted from plant sources, such as tree bark, leaves, and fruits. The leather is immersed in this solution, where the tannins bond with the leather fibers, giving it a natural, rich color
